You may have noticed that no two retailers of these connectors have the same list of applications. Guess who else is not consistent with respect to which year, make and model these are valid. Ford...does't have consistent documentation! Therefore the easiest way to guarantee that you are ordering the correct connector is to simply remove your connector and look on the inside. If the terminal wedge is yellow, you have found your replacement. If the termainal wedge is red, you need WPT-759. I have genuine Motorcraft WPT-759 for the same price.

While WPT-579 and WPT-759 look identical, there are two difference that make them not interchangeable..The first difference is in the size of the wire terminal itself. that means the terminal will not lock into place if you order the wrong connector. The second difference is the coil which uses the WPT-579 (yellow terminal wedge) connector has a step moulded inside the connector cavity.
