This acrylic magnet holds a print of my pencil/color pencil drawing, Small Cat in Flower. It was inspired by the death of a kitten that my mother and I took in from his first day alive. It was abandoned in a window well during rainstorms and was brought to us by a friend of my sister's. Scrapper died when we had him neutered, going downhill quickly. It turned out he had leukemia. This was during the 80's. Our previous cat, Katy, lived to be 17, having kittens every chance she could and never a trip to the vet. We didn't know about spay/neuter back then. I hope I am making up for it now, with a 13 cat household. I drew this right after it happened, when I was in college. I wanted to show Scrapper arriving in Heaven. Looking kind of bewildered, not sure why I did that. But later on, I was reading a book about pets and life after death and it described my drawing. The pet owner whose kitten died in her arms received a vision of "a lovely garden where at first the kitten was bewildered by her new surroundings, but gradually other kitties came to welcome her and she was quite happy".

The magnet measures approximately 2-7/8" x 3-5/8" with the print measuring 2-1/2" x 3-1/4". It is 1/4" thick and sturdy with a large magnet on the back. It is printed with archival inks on archival paper. Each magnet is sealed in a clear protective sleeve.

Glare in the photograph can occur. I tried repeatedly to get a good photograph but this is the best I could do.

Your magnet will be mailed in a padded envelope or something better.

Drawn, printed and put together by me in an extremely cat-friendly environment.
