ANTHRAX was an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. Of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands (the others being Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer), ANTHRAX were the only band from the East Coast.

Members: Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna, Jonathan Donais. As of April 2017, the band has released 11 studio albums.
