Serving Dish with Attached Drip Catcher for a Christmas Holiday Party
Silver Stainless Steel Chrome Color Gravy Boat
This unusual metal serving piece has a shiny chrome finish, (we've had this stored for years without tarnishing, so it is probably a restaurant stainless steel serving piece - not chrome plated or silver plated).
The shape of the bowl is kind of an oblong round shape with slight flanges at either end make it great for resting a gravy spoon, or two, or dipping forks, one at each end.
This item has been used only a couple times, once or twice as a gravy boat serving piece and another time we filled the bowl with a melted cheese/salsa mixture and placed a few chips to dip around it. Although the attached drip tray is fairly small, and didn't really hold that many chips, we placed it next to a larger divided tray with a variety of "dippers" on toothpicks, like shrimp and small meatballs, and also celery sticks, and other cut up veggies... and chips... (it was a big hit).
But we seldom have parties or get togethers as often anymore, so this has been in the bottom of the hutch, unused for may years, and I'm sure someone could come up with some more fun ideas and uses for this unique and versatile little serving piece.
The bowl measures aprox 4-1/4 inches and holds about a cup and a half of liquid.
CONDITION: Used, but in good condition. Shows some minor scuffing, no dents or missing pieces.
