Not all air pumps are the same and not all air pumps will fit your aerobic system. Aerobic systems are designed and approved with not only a specific size air pump but a specific brand as well. It is imperative that you get the right size and right kind of pump as a replacement for your system. Too big of an air pump and the diffusers distributing the air inside the tank will not handle the excessive air flow causing pre-mature pump failures. Too small of an air pump and the wastewater cannot be processed adequately causing pre-mature failure of your septic system.
