SAVE THE WRIGHT LIBRARY poster sheet

SIGNED by Ray Bradbury

This is definitely one of the strong causes of purpose in Ray Bradbury's life...to promote and save libraries and help small bookstores.

The Wright Library in Ventura, California had funding problems and word of this was received by Ray Bradbury.

In my acquisition of books and ephemera that had significance in the life and philosophy of Ray Bradbury I thought this was a very good representation.

I was friends with Ray for 28 years. This was an event where Ray signed books and spoke and occurred on Saturday June 20, 2009. I personally presented this poster to Ray Bradbury for the signature and will provide a letter of authenticity regarding the signature.

This is a 8.2 x 11 inch brochure to save the local library here in Ventura, CA. Nice condition. Ready for archiving or framing.

Very few of these exist that were signed by Ray Bradbury. A good piece of ephemera but the author of “Fahrenheit 451” and “ The Martian Chronicles.”

Note:

The film THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT was shown at this event. At the bottom

of the poster it mentions my bookshop where Ray Bradbury was a frequent book signer for years.

I will provide a Letter of Authenticity with a photo of this piece in the letter regarding the signature.
