This metal insignia is mounted on a wooden base.  The keychain rack represents the aircraft insignia that was displayed on American aircraft from 14 August 1943 to 14 January 1947.  This insignia was used by the Army Air Corp and the Navy.  On some US Navy aircraft in the Pacific, the blue outline was lighter than the insignia blue.
