Vintage original 39 x 55 in. Italian poster from the classic 1920's silent film comedy/drama, THE GOLD RUSH, released in 1925 by United Artists and directed by Charles Chaplin. A lone prospector (Charlie Chaplin) ventures into Alaska
looking for gold. He gets mixed-up with some burly characters (including Mack Swain) and falls in love
with the beautiful Georgia (Georgia Hale), whom he tries to win her heart with his singular
charm.
This poster was printed for the film's 1970's theatrical re-release in Italy and was designed by Ferrini (see his signature near the right border). The image depicts a close shot of The Lone Prospector (Charlie Chaplin) sitting outdoors with snow on his clothing along with a smaller full-length silhouette of Chaplin holding his famous cane. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, it is in fine+ condition with random signs of wear along various portions of the edges. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
