THE RIGHT MURDER - Popular Library (1946) - Good             THE LUCKY STIFF - Pocket Books, 1947 - Good+                     THE BIG MIDGET MURDERS - Pocket Books, 1948 - Good      by Craig Rice - all First Paperback Printings                                                                                                                                      Craig Rice (actually a woman) specialized in combining murder and mirth, especially in her novels featuring the detecting team of John J. Malone and Jake & Helene Justus.  These three books from the 1940s are all part of that series.  RIGHT has front cover creasing, corner and edge wear, a  partial spine lean and some back cover soiling.  The book is somewhat moisture rolled (though the pages do not show staining , but they are toned).  STIFF has spine edge wear and a light reading crease, along with spine lean and a bit more cover wear.  Inside is a store stmp and a former owner has written his name three times.  MIDGET has spine edge wear and tears at the bottom, as well as cover creasing & corner/edge wear.  Still, all books have secure bindings.
