NOBEL LECTURES - LITERATURE 1901-1967
EDITED BY HORST FRENZ
HARDCOVER & DUST JACKET - EX-LIBRARY
PUBLISHED BY ELSEVIER PUBLISHING COMPANY, 1969 (640 pages).
This book is:
- Free of any remainder marks
- Free of any internal markings to the pages of the book
- Free of any unpleasant odors
- Structurally sound and generally clean despite being an ex-library copy
Attributes:
- Sound binding and gold cloth covered boards, blindstamp of Alfred Nobel on front cover
- Clean, bright, mark free pages (the book is likely unread or has been very gently handled)
- Page edges are free of any material soiling and are completely free of any foxing
- Clean unclipped and unchipped dust jacket now encased in a Mylar protective paper backed cover
Notable Flaws:
There are a few flaws normally associated with ex-library copies; this volume has: library stampings on the top page edges, on the inside of the front cover, on the inside of the rear cover and on the first free endpaper; there is the residue of library tape on the outside over the front and rear covers and on the first and last free endpapers, a library sticker on the bottom of the outside panel of the jacket, under the Mylar cover; and, there are two of three pages with neat librarian penciled writing, all of which precede the Introduction and Table of Contents. That is it. Otherwise this is a clean new book.
Due to the limitations on how many pictures that can be posted, a full Table of Contents cannot be shown, but I am happy to share additional photos upon request. There are recorded lectures herein by Rudyard Kipling, William Butler Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, Thomas Mann, Herman Hesse, Bertrand Russell, Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner just to name a few.
