Brand new factory sealed 2-disc set has a cut-out through the plastic and upc code on the back. This is done at the factory and usually indicates a title that is no longer being pressed. And indeed this is Out Of Print (OOP) and no longer being manufactured, making it an instant collector's item.
CANNIBAL MAN: Vicente Parra stars as Marcos, a Madrid slaughterhouse (real footage, cow lovers beware!) worker whose accidental killing of a taxi driver and mounting fear of judgement leads him to strangle his girlfriend (Emma Cohen) to conceal his culpability; when Marcos' truck driver brother Steve (Carlos "Charly" Bravo) threatens full disclosure, he is clubbed to death for his trouble and his body stashed alongside that of Marcos' dead fiance.
As the hot summer days drag on, Marcos' defensiveness drives him to further acts of violence, turning his squalid slum dwelling into a literal repository for the dead. Meanwhile, he is befriended by an affluent young man (Eusebio Poncela), whose highrise apartment looks directly down on Marcos' tin roof hacienda, and who seems to know more than he lets on.
Not widely known outside of Spain, director Eloy de la Iglesia was a dynamic young filmmaker whose '70s and '80s output was far more prolific than that of better-regarded countrymen.
CANNIBALS: While on a scientific jungle expedition with his family, Jeremy Taylor (Al Cliver) loses his wife and his right arm to hungry cannibals in day-glo face paint who storm his ship and make off with his young daughter, Lana.
Taylor manages to crawl his way back to civilization and recuperates in New York, where he decides to sit around for ten years with sexy Ana (Lina Romay) before going back into the emerald inferno to retrieve his daughter, who's now a sexy, naked blonde nymphet (Sabrina Siani). Of course, by the time he and his rescue crew finally reach the cannibal tribe, Lana isn't too eager to leave her tribe where she is worshiped as a G-string goddess.
This release looks about as good as this film possibly could given that it appears to have been shot on at least four differant film stocks. Both titles are dubbed in English.
