This one-of-a-kind hand carved wine bottle stopper was a treasure brought back to the United Sates from a trip to Turkey. It features a finely detailed carved head of a dashing man with a bright red and green turban. He has a luxurious and well-tended handlebar mustache with elaborately curled ends. His stylish locks sweep up and over, framing his face with matching curls. His beard and the hair at the nape of his neck are ornately carved in the style of an Assyrian king. This unusual wooden bottle stopper measures approximately 3-3/4" tall and 1-3/4" wide. Other than the slight loss of green paint at the top of his turban (please see the pictures), this vintage stopper is in excellent condition.
