Belonging to my neighbor's Grandfather, this pair of "Antique Art Deco Silver Plated Two Sided Etched Design Stud Button Square Cufflinks" made by Baer & Wilde (B&W) were purchased in the mid-1920s and worn occasionally through his death in 1972; my neighbor’s father received all his father's jewelry which was stored in a box in his closet. My neighbor’s father passed away in 1991 and he inherited the contents of his home, including these RARE, Hard To Find Stud Button Cufflinks. Getting ready to move to a smaller home, he has NO children and has asked me to sell these cufflinks for him; they come from a smoke-free, pet-free home. Measuring approximately 1/2 inch Square, they are Marked "B&W Patd 1923" on one side and "Kum A Part Regstd Made In USA".
These 1920s Cufflinks were masterfully handcrafted in gleaming Silver Plate with an EXQUISITELY Simple yet HANDSOMELY intricate design on both sides; the workmanship is EXTRAORDINARY! Formed as the men's jewelry division of the Attleboro Manufacturing Company in 1908, Baer & Wilde shot into popularity when they invented the Kum-A-Part cuff button in 1918. By the late-1930s, the company changed its name to the more well-known Swank Inc., which continues to sell men's accessories today. These cufflinks make it easy to see why the Kum-A-Part technology was so successful.
