Here we have a wonderful, large scale book by National Geographic Society highlighting some ancient and some still surviving, Native tribes of Central America and South America. Some of the tribes highlighted are the Aztecs, the Mayans, and the Amazonians. Beautiful pictures and drawings fill this book with never-ending fascination (see pics below). There is also a great deal of text describing the cultures, rituals, and every day living of these peoples. This is a big, heavy book that will give anyone who opens it hours of fascinating entertainment and knowledge. Put it on your coffee table and see if guests can keep their hands off it!

 There may have been a dust jacket at one time, but it's long gone now. I think the cover underneath is much more interesting, anyway. I'd rate this book as in excellent condition aside from the dust jacket.
