Item description
Natural Uranium Rock
COFFINITE
Weight: 10.9 Oz.
Radiation: 49,300 CPM (Counts-Per-Minute)
Found at Jurassic Canyon, 18 miles NW
from Grants NM, October 2025
$43.00 plus $12.80 shipping
This rock has one white dot, which identifies
the surface location with the highest level
of radioactive response.
The original name of the uranium field was
POISON CANYON, which was assigned to this
area during the 1920s, long before the
discovery of uranium minerals in 1950.
JURASSIC CANYON is both historically and
geologically more accurate. Many species of
dinosaurs inhabited this region during the
Jurassic Era, 200 million to 148 million years
in the ancient past. The nearby volcano,
Mount Taylor, was active during the Jurassic
era, spewing uranium rocks at or near the
Ambrosia Lake area, inhabited by the
dinosaurs. Today, the dino fossils and the
uranium rocks are found 3,000. ft below the
present ground surface. They are very deep
underground today, because the accumulation
of dust and dirt will create a depth of 3,000
ft during the time interval of 150-200 million
years. The purchased rock(s) can only be
mailed to buyers with USA postal addresses,
because of a strict regulation by the federal
Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Canadian
buyers should look for Canadian sellers; it has
been estimated that the underground reserves
of uranium are TWENTY TIMES greater at
Canadian minefields than those within the USA.
