High quality, artistic creation: The medallion is 5” across, then the fringe is another 5”, hanging from 32” of faux bone and amethyst bead string. Three buffalo standing in the snow in a forest with tall mountains in the background; shades of mauve-ish purple with a soft snow falling. I’m not sure whether it is hand painted, but the top clear coat is a shiny lacquer – the image is set in a flexible beaded lace then five rows of glass beading with three gray arrows and six black rounded (hoof prints?) symbols; plus, four more rows of white then a flexible lacey edge that wraps around to the white leather back. The 5” long 49 strand fringe (double thick because it is strung/hung from front and back) is made up of white and mauve-ish purple glass beads in addition to twisted silvery clear glass bugle beads in two lengths. From an estate sale: The original owner bought it with the broad chest of a man in mind, but ended up wearing it as a bold accessory herself. Well-traveled, she acquired it in the United States, but as there are no tags, nor signatures on the piece to render more provenance. Most likely purchased from a gallery. Looks fabulous as a wall hanging or worn as a bold statement. It is in excellent, usable condition.
