Vintage 60’s Plastic Flower Necklace Clip and 44 similar items

These light-weight creations are about as cheery as sunshine… they never fail to make me smile. Molded lime green leaves with veining, round yellow beads with orange blush, white saucer spacer beads, yellow cupped petals frame orange and yellow flower beads with white centers. Lots of detailing for what was intended to virtually be worn for a season and then discarded. Who knew they’d become a little art form of their own?! Many were handed down to grand daughters as dress up jewelry although that accounts for their demise (like the popit beads.) Consequently, earrings were often lost, too. This set came from the collection of a long-time vintage costume jewelry enthusiast. This necklace is 46” x ” and can be worn doubled; the earrings are 2” x ” and are equipped with French clips. None of the findings on this set are marked, but as a friend says, “they are what they are whether marked or not” and most likely Hong Kong. They are in excellent vintage condition.
