TISH by Mary Roberts Rinehart Houghton Mifflin Co., First Edition, Aug. 1916 Condition: VG+ to NF in Good dust jacket Rinehart is famous for her mystery/suspense novels. but she also wrote a series of humorous books about Letitia Carberry (Tish), an adventurous and eccentric spinster, and her ancient cronies, Lizzy and Aggy. This book contains the first five Tish stories, as well as nine color illustations and a wraparound color dust jacket (a scarce item) by May Wilson Preston. 372 text pages. Light corner wear, light fading of the spine lettering and a bit of light wear on page edges. A name is written on the ffep. Otherwise, a bright, tight copy wth no other writing or creases and with only light page toning. The jacket has some edge tears and chips; there is tape along the top and bottom edges and there is a back cover wrinkle; still, jacket is in fairly decent shape and has nicely protected the book over the last century.
