DAY the SKY EXPLODED (dvd) B&W photography and similar items

Pre-viewed for quality and played fine despite some light scratches on the disc. The United States, Great Britain and Russia join forces to launch a manned space mission to the moon, but things go terribly wrong and crew leader John MacLaren (Paul Hubschmid) is forced to abandon ship shortly after blast off. MacLaren safely returns to Earth, but the rocket continues to sail through space and eventually explodes causing asterioids to be thrown into the path of Earth. Pummeling the planet, these asteroids cause earthquakes, tidal-waves, and extreme weather conditions which tear at the world's major cities. In a last-ditch effort to save the planet from destruction, the world's scientific community bands together before it's too late.
