Attached tag signed MIRIAM HASKELL, as well as the clasp which is also marked MIRIAM HASKELL and PATENT 3427891. Miriam Haskell enthusiastically adopted after WW II the Japanese development of covering glass pearls in essence d'orient-a solution of cellulose, fish scales and various resins which is the reason her faux pearl necklaces are so collectible.
