Item description
Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the 1950's Quaker-themed drama/romance, FRIENDLY PERSUASION, released in 1956 by Allied Artists and directed by William Wyler. Based upon the book by Jessamyn West, the pacifist attitude of a Quaker family is tested as a result of the American Civil War.
The image depicts an interior shot of Josh Birdwell (Anthony Perkins) talking with three women as they all listen intently. The border artwork features a large portrait of Gary Cooper. It is unrestored in fine- condition with multiple staple holes in or near each corner and in the center of the top and bottom borders; a small tear on the left border and on the top right corner; light signs of wear in the borders; and some small creases, simply from handling over time.
