Lee Precision Mold
Customer Reviews Synopsis
Product received was as described.
Excellent mold
Casts beautiful bullets. Was able to shoot good tight groups at 100 yards with full loads first time out.
Perfect nicely packaged bullet mold. Just clean it and start casting flawless bullets. Great product.
Presents a fantastic original style bullet to shoot.
Historical accuracy is always a plus
I have a Pietta-made replica Smith carbine. The Pietta mold casts a bullet that is WAY too small, and I was hard-put to come up with handles for it in the first place. The only other Smith-specific mold I had found previously was the Dixie Gunworks "hair tongs" mold, which is not completely authentic and not well cut. This mold, however, casts truly authentic bullets that are the right size for my carbine.

These molds throw the best bullets for re-enactment or just plinking with paper cartridges ever!!
As described
good packing, very satisfied. Thank you very much for providing these hard to find molds!
The paper cartridges made from these molds have been a dream come true! So glad I bought this. Historically accurate and a new level of fun!
Very pleased with the quality, and performance of this mold. Highly recommended.
Outstanding!
Accuracy is amazing, better than round ball. I've casted a load of bullets now and I am loving the mold! Super easy to use.
The quality of these molds was far above the usual Lee molds and I could tell they had been carefully examined for defects.
It's a Lee Bullet Mold and performs well like all the others I've used
The Lee molds are easy to use and maintain. I bought this mold to reproduce the same paper cartridge used during the civil war for my 1860 army.
Can't wait to cast some of these bullets up and try them in my 1851 Pietra Navy. These will be fun to use in Cowboy Action Shooting.just bought all the items to make my own paper cartridges.
Standard Lee 2 cavity mould, which they have improved a lot in the last few years, which is to say it works well and cast a good clean bullet.
The bullet itself works very well for either paper cartridges or with loose powder.
If I had one complaint, it's that it's not a six cavity mould, maybe in the future.
Works well for making paper cartridges to replicate original ammo. My Pietta 1860 required the loading cut in the frame to be opened up. Easy to do. Just go to Google images to find pics of originals, file to match, polish, and touch up with cold blue. Makes the gun more authentic anyway. Looks like it may work in Colt reproductions without modification but have not tried. Saw a YouTube video of a guy modifying an Uberti to do same.
This bullet mold drops perfect bullets,as expected from a lee product, they load great in my 1858 buffalo, with paper hulls.
As a history buff, the authenticity of these bullets is amazing, I've cast 300 bullets so far with no problems, very happy.
Great mold of the Johnston & Dow bullets from the Civil War. Custom made by Lee Precision, a well known and reputable company, for this seller There are no flaws in the mold itself, and I'm confident that it will cast lead bullets with no issues. Anyone with experience casting lead will have no problems
All my previous molds were iron, but Lee has a reputation for quality. I expect these to work well.
i smoked it, i oiled the pins and i heated the blocks. culled the first 2 bullets i poured and then was turning out beautifully formed, consistent bullets. A++
It's nice to have the quality you'd expect from Lee but with a Civil War accurate projectile. Perfect for making your own paper cartridges.
Great product should give a very long service life
Works well, fast ship, do again, AAA+++!!!
Good quality mold. can't wait to use it. I have the Johnston, and Dow .44 cal mold also.

Normally, I would use an item before leaving a review, but I feel that I can confidently recommend this mold without doing so. The mold is custom made by Lee Precision, and is very high quality. One thing that I like is that this bullet mold will make an accurate, historical replica of the original bullet. I have used another mold from Eras Gone (the .44 Johnston & Dow mold) and it was the easiest bullet mold that I had ever used, and I am confident that this mold will be just as easy to use. I highly recommend this mold, as well as all other molds that Eras Gone currently offers (or will offer in the future)
Excellent molds thanks to a person with passion for the hobby
Quality Lee Product with care, should last for years. Thanks to Eras Gone for designing these, can't wait to see what else they will offer
The molds produced flawlessly and I’m new to the hobby. Can’t wait for Stanley former so I can try them with paper!
My thoughts on this bullet mold is to all pistoleros out there if you have not tried this mold you need to go and buy one,at a moderate price for a custom mold you will be glad you did,I heard about this bullet mold off of internet,I checked it out at Bonanza and very glad I took the time too read about the cival war bullet,an old design made new, east too use and makes great bullets! Check it out fellas you won't be disappointed in your purchase!
I have always liked the lee molds, being a custom type mold this runs a little more money, but is an still an excellent value. The mold cast perfect bullets on the first use, that does not always happen. Great job, it’s nice to have people willing to put out molds for accurate reproduction bullets like this.
A very nice mold, I did have to modify the window on my Pietta Sheriffs to load this conical. But that is Piettas fault. This mold casts a beautiful lead bullet. I would highly recommend.
I haven't had a casting session with the mold yet, but it looks great and should be a good one!
Mold cast great bullets
This fills a niche for a fantastic .44 C&B revolver bullet.
Absolutely what I expected, well put together and
Cast conical Bullets perfect. Extremely pleased.
The mould comes from Lee Precision, and comes with its own handles. Very nice!
Very nice molds for the 44 caliber. Easy to use and they look like long lasting. Now to get some range time.
The bullet mold casts excellent Conical bullet for my
Revolver.
The mold works really well. Advertised as 217 grain but mine cast at 225g. Love the idea that this is from an original.
Both moulds are made of high quality material and I am convinced that I will enjoy them for a long time .
Well done !

Standard super high quality LEE mold. I firmly believe it is the best value on the market and I go to Lee first for my molds. In this case it is a specialty contracted item and very hard to find, and I am very pleased to see it is a LEE product!
As always from this manufacturer - very good quality mold. Shape of bullet ideal for making combustible cartridges!
Beautiful well made mold, Eras Gone molds is top Notch.
period correct mold for the 44cal cap and ball. I have an 1858 and it loves these things, Very accurate!
Good mold, easy you use. just smoke it, warm it, pour. DONE.
Fast service, bullets are super for Colt Walker 1847.
I got his mold in a timely manner and used it almost immediately. In doing the research on making paper cartridges, many said I'd have to file down the barrel some to fit the bullet under the load lever, but I sat a bullet I had casted and it fit nicely under the load lever on my Remington New Army without any modification.
Typical LEE product simply and wisely engineered to do the job.
Like all molds from Lee this item is no exception. It dropped perfect castings within minutes of breaking in. I ran a good fifteen pounds of lead through it on the first use. The service received was second to none.
Happy with mold and quality.
OK
Eras Gone had done a great service to the cap & ball fraternity by offering these molds. There is not a manufactured equivalent available.
