Vintage original 9 x 12 in. US double-weight matte photograph from the 1960s Biblical-themed drama, THE BIBLE: IN THE BEGINNING, released in 1966 by 20th Century-Fox and directed by John Huston. Produced by Dino De Laurentis, this extravagant production tells of the first part of the book of Genesis. Its main highlights are the Garden of Eden, the first brothers, Noah and his family obeying God to build an ark for the Flood and Abraham's attempted sacrifice of Isaac. The image depicts a close shot of Ava Gardner as "Sarah, wife of Abraham." This photograph was used for publication in a newspaper and features grease pencil marks, one staple and some embellishments in silver ink above Gardner's head on the recto. Affixed to the verso is a portion of the actual newspaper clipping with a date stamp of OCT 25 1966. It is in near-fine condition as shown.
