Offered here is this amazing small size Victorian spindle splat bow back rocking chair. I am unsure of it's exact age, however, I would guess that it dates to the late 19th century. It is in good condition for such an old piece. The rocker is made of solid wood, with a woven Rattan seat that is very good condition and may have been redone at some point. There are some light dings and scratches to the finish. The rocker is a small size, but I am not sure if it's quite small enough to be for a child. It has an extended splat running vertically in between the spindles, which is more of a Windsor style and an unusual design for a rocking chair. The rocking chair is 33" tall at the top of the back, is 16" across the front of the seat, is 16" deep at the seat, with a total depth at the seat of 19.5", the rockers are 29.5" long, and there is a spread between the front legs of about 17". The seat at about 15" off the ground. This is an amazing Victorian era rocking chair with a bow back and spindle splat. It is a wonderful specimen and a must-have for any antique rocking chair collection.
