Each player is allotted the same number of ships: 1 aircraft carrier, 1 troop transport, 2 battleships, 1 submarine, 3 destroyers, 2 P/T boats, 1 mine layer, and 2 mine sweepers. Some ships launch torpedoes while others shoot gunfire. Ships are ranked according to speed, resilience, weapon strength, weapon range, acceleration and maneuverability.
