The younger brother of fellow legendary artist John Buscema, Sal began his career in the mid-1960s at Marvel, initially working as an inker before quickly establishing himself as a penciler. Over the decades, he became known for long, influential runs on titles such as The Incredible Hulk, The Defenders, Captain America, and The Spectacular Spider-Man, often working with top writers like Steve Englehart, J.M. DeMatteis, and Bill Mantlo.
